Welcome to The Nostalchica! A community & shop for goth, horror, 80s, & nostalgia lovers — who I lovingly call nostalchicas y nostalchicos 🌈✨🦇

My name is Alexa & The Nostalchica was created when I realized that great things can come out of darkness. Raised by my grandparents, they inspired me at a young age to believe in myself & go after my dreams, even when odds are against me. They showed me that with kindness, perseverance, & hope — I can make my dreams come true —and this is what I want you to remember too 💖

A few things to get to know me:

1)  I created The Nostalchica on IG & YouTube, when covid & the George Floyd protests showed me that community is everything 💗

2)  I work full time in the entertainment industry & live with my partner & cat Chucky 🐱

3)  I’m very close to my grandparents, sisters, & close friends. I’m thankful for them every day of my life 🙏

4) I love goth, darkwave, new wave, 70s/80s music in general. I also believe good music is good music no matter the genre. Some of my fave bands are The Cure, Twin Tribes, DECEITS, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, & much much more.

5) I love 80s movies whether it be a slasher or John Hughes films. I also love 70s horror. Some of my fave movies are The Lost Boys, Jaws, Pretty in Pink, The Wedding Singer, 70s/80s John Carpenter films, & many more. I’m also a big Stranger Things, Breaking Bad, Three’s Company, & Dexter fan. I’m all over the place 😅

OUR MISSON

PEOPLE + PLANET OVER PROFIT, ALWAYS.

The Nostalchica started out with one MISSION - to show the world that even in fear & darkness, we will ✨ creep shining ✨ - all while being our haunt-thentic selves & inspiring positive change.

This mission will always be at the core of EVERYTHING we do, and we hope to not only be a place for spooky & nostalgia lovers, but also be a place where ALL are welcome and seen. Stay connected with us to see exactly how we uphold our mission.

HOW WE GIVE BACK TO COMMUNITY & OUR PLANET

• 13% of proceeds of every Pro Goth Anti Hate Tee will forever go to various nonprofits benefiting children, our undocumented immigrant community, the environment, and more. Nonprofits will alternate every 6 months. For June-Dec 2025, proceeds will go to Border Kindness & Heal Palestine.

• 100% of proceeds of every Pro Goth Anti Hate Sticker will be going to No Us Without You LA, a nonprofit providing food to undocumented families. We’ll be doing this until end of July 2025. 

• 13% of proceeds of our upcoming Queer Without Fear & Protect The Goth Dolls Button Pins will forever go to various LGBTQ+ nonprofits. We will announce when these are ready for purchase. 

• We also have plans to work with local businesses & goth bands to raise awareness & donations for the community. Stay tuned for more on that!

• To help our planet & reduce carbon footprint, we use recyclable & minimal packaging. We also reduce the amount of shipments & trips by packing orders together. Even our business cards can be reused (reusable ideas are written on them).

• As we grow, we want to expand our outreach & would love to eventually hold events benefitting community.
